Four days have passed since that drubbing at the Bridge and I’m still not in the mood to discuss football.
Atleast theres no domestic games this weekend –bring on the International fixtures (and I never thought I’d ever say that).
In the Predictions and starting with the Premier League – there was 2 winners last weekend scoring 9 points each… Congratulations go to Captain Jonny Birch and Andy Graham, who, despite another decent result still can’t find away to break out of the relegation area.. but with just 2 points separating himself and 16th place Jonny Moss, it could easily change this weekend.
Mark Golden stays top 5 points clear of Gleavo who continues to yo-yo with Kettlewell for that second spot. Mark Borkin drops to fifth following Jonny Birch’s win, with Chris Cole & Greg both climbing into the Champions League places. Stewart is level on points but sits eighth on goal difference, just ahead of Chris Snell & Nick Royle who make up the top half of the table.
In the Championship, it was shared between 4 of you last weekend, all scoring 9 points each. Congrats go to Tommy Pickles, Pete Louth, Danny Bradders and Anthony Considine. The win for Pete, sends him level at the top with Mark Robbo and smashes his own PB for points accumulated (I think it was nearly Christmas last year when you hit 120! 😉
Tracey climbs to third as Max falls outside of the automatic promotion places, Katy and Sam stay 5th and 6th despite changing places a whisker ahead of Danny Bradders who sneaks into 7th with his win last weekend.
In League One, we saw our highest score of the week with a very impressive ELEVEN points! Take a bow Steven Moseley. You deservedly take the pot, 2 points clear of anybody else in the division, Anthony Woodhouse & Talbot both coming runners up on 9.. in any other divisions lad you’d have a share of the cash!
Roo Gunn stays top, a point ahead of Talbot on 121.. it’s then a big gap of 6 point to Andy Bentley in third place, who’s now neck and neck with Steve after climbing 3 places last weekend. Luke Robbo, Kai and Jeff Smith make up the rest of the playoff places.
Over to PNG and there was 2 of you on winners row last weekend – Congrats went to Norman Phillips and Daddybear Kettlewell who’s unfortunately found abit of form, both scoring 9 points each.. it’s Richie who stays top however, 4 points clear of Eric and Bill who remain tied on 122 points each. Despite his win, Big Al still couldn’t catch Carlos who stays fourth and fingers crossed John Battle will leapfrog the Scotsman this weekend.
This weekends fixtures are now available online… we did consider starting early on the Friday night which would have guaranteed everybody atleast a point when England thump Scotland, but, just to make it alittle more difficult, we changed it to Spain vs Macedonia instead.
