Afternoon all
Short and sweet this week (well, we do have the league results, the Champions League & the Predictions Cup to get through!)
Predictions time, and starting with the Premier League;
At the top, Alan continues to cling onto first place with white‑knuckled determination, still 3 points clear of Eamonn, who lurks menacingly in second place.
A wobble from Carpet opened the door for Anne, who reclaimed fourth spot after Luke Robbo’s heroic attempt at scoring almost nothing at all. A measly 4 points saw him tumble into sixth faster than Everton’s appeal team.
Down in the murky depths, disaster struck Tracey, whose week went so badly it should probably come with a trigger warning. She drops into the relegation zone, with PrettyboyBarker resurfacing—barely—on goal difference. A true relegation scrap is brewing…
In the Championship, there was one sole victor taking the pot – Congrats to Sam Myall who’s score of 8 was enough to take the cash!
Bookies might have prematurely crowned Carl Stevenson already, but Tom France clearly didn’t get the memo. He’s chopped the deficit down to just 8 points, and Carl is now sweating like he’s seen VAR warming up.
Dom enjoyed a surge into the top 3, while Ethan plummeted all the way to 6th with the grace of a falling wardrobe. And as for Ben and Shaun… let’s just say their hopes of reaching the playoff spots may require divine intervention and possibly a points deduction scandal.
In League One, we had a four‑way pile‑up at the top, with Lucky Sanghera, Will Ambrose, Joe Hughes, and Rikki Davis all smashing their way to 8 points each. Well played chaps
But it’s Joe Hughes who made the biggest splash, vaulting into 5th place with a 2‑point boost. Sure, he’s still 16 points behind runaway leader Brendan, who is currently strolling toward the title like a man on a dog walk… but stranger things have happened.
Snell and Kev cling onto the automatic promotion spots, but Mark Wilde is only 4 points behind and licking his lips like a wolf staring at a three‑legged antelope. This weekend could blow everything wide open.
The results from round two in the Champions League are in and are as follows;
Group 1
Colm Cassidy 6 vs 4 Jamie Mayo
Greg Ashworth 6 vs 3 Alan Ashworth
Group 2
Luke Robbo 4 vs 3 Eric Surtees

Round 3 takes places this weekend, fixtures as as follows;
